Exploring the open world in Hogwarts Legacy involves tracking down various hidden collectibles scattered across the Highlands. Among these activities are landing platforms, which reward players with cosmetic gear pieces upon completion. Understanding where to find the landing platform in the South Hogwarts Region ensures you can check off another requirement toward completing your field guide challenges.
Exact Location of the South Hogwarts Landing Platform
The South Hogwarts Region contains only one landing platform, making it a quick stop while flying through the area. To reach this platform, travel toward the hamlet of Aranshire located on the eastern side of the map. From the Aranshire Floo Flame, fly directly southeast along the cliffside terrain.
As you approach the rocky hills overlooking the lower paths, you will spot the distinct circular stone structure situated on a ledge. It sits on the opposite side of the cliff near the moving dragon topiary. Keeping your flight height moderate makes it much easier to spot against the surrounding foliage.
How to Activate Landing Platforms in Hogwarts Legacy
Completing a landing platform requires you to fly directly over the structure while mounted on your broom or flying beast. Gently lower your altitude until your character touches down squarely in the center of the platform. Once you dismount or make contact, four braziers positioned around the perimeter will ignite to confirm activation.
Unlike other collectibles, landing platforms do not appear as map icons until you physically discover and land on them. It is recommended to explore during daytime hours to maintain clear visibility. If you have trouble finding it, using the Revelio charm while flying high above the cliffside can highlight nearby points of interest.
Rewards for Completing Landing Platform Challenges
Each landing platform you activate contributes progress toward the Landing Platforms Challenge set under your exploration menu. Interacting with these platforms awards experience points and gradually unlocks exclusive appearance items. These rewards include the Quidditch Captain's Set, featuring a full uniform, helmet, gloves, and cape.
Because there are 20 total landing platforms spread across the Highlands, securing the single platform in the South Hogwarts Region is a vital step toward total completion. Be sure to claim your rewards manually from the challenges menu once you reach each milestone threshold.
